Basic Jewelry 1: Bezel Set, Solder & Saw

This class focuses on the basics of creating jewelry: sawing, filing, sanding, texturing, stamping, polishing, stone setting - and so much more. As students make the two sample projects, a sawn and pierced pendant and a ring with a bezel setting, they are practicing the soldering and fabrication skills necessary to make jewelry. 

Drop in on any of the Basic Jewelry courses, in any order. They offer training on different and overlapping fundamental skills for making jewelry. All Basic Jewelry courses are designed for beginners and continuing students.

Techniques covered:
• Stone setting: bezels
• Sawing
• Filing
• Sanding
• Soldering
• How to make a ring
• Stamping
• Hammering and texture
• Polishing with Power Tools

Kit of materials, full color handout and use of tools included.
