Mi-Sook Hur is an award-winning enamelist and metalsmith who serves as a professor in the School of Art and Design at East Carolina University. Her artistic focus lies in creating realistic imagery inspired by nature, as well as delving into modern studies of Limoges enamels. Hur earned a BFA in Metalwork and Jewelry from Seoul National University in Korea and an MFA in Metals from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She has showcased her work both nationally and internationally, and her pieces are housed in esteemed collections including those of the Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts (Little Rock, AR); Enamel Arts Foundations (Los Angeles, CA); Crocker Art Museum (Sacramento, CA); John Michael Kohler Arts Center (Sheboygen, WI); Philadelphia Museum of Art (Philadelphia, PA); Racine Art Museum (Racine, WI); Kamm Teapot Foundaion (CA); and Yale University Art Gallery (New Haven, CT).
